2008 Larson 330 Cabrio Description
From the moment you walk through the transom door, the Larson 330
Cabrio pronounces itself as a boat about the details. This wide-beamed sport
cruiser definitely packs a lot into its 33 feet.
The port-side transom door leads from the large integrated swim platform to the lower cockpit area. Convertible seating in this area means you can configure for plenty of seating or open deck space while entertaining.
A couple of steps up and your at the helm, which sports a companion seat with captain’s bolster. The gauges are conveniently placed on the automotive-style dash and visibility is clear through the wraparound, walk-through windshield. The standard sport arch offers easy rigging of radar and antennas.
A few steps lead down to the nicely appointed cabin, which makes great use of space. The galley to port offers the chef onboard plenty of cupboard storage and some positively innovative spots to store all the necessary supplies. It also includes an electric refrigerator and two-burner stove, as well as a coffee maker and microwave. Warm alder cabinetry, granite-look countertops and wood-like flooring finish this space off nicely.
To starboard, the 330 sports a large Lshaped dinette with a cherrywood table, custom cabinetry, reading lights and a leather-like couch.
Forward, a large V-berth features under storage compartments, privacy curtains and plenty of reading lights. His-and-hers storage to port and starboard ensure you can tuck private items where they will be close at hand.
Mounted on the forward bulkhead is a 15-inch flat-screen TV equipped with DVD player. The only drawback in the forward cabin is the bed will likely be difficult to make.
Off the main cabin, the enclosed head features a shower wand, sink and vanity.
The mid-cabin is open aft from the main cabin and is recessed by a single step. This allows for lots of headroom while seated in this U-shaped lounge space, which is reminiscent of a large sectional in the family room back home.
It’s the perfect hideaway for a late-night poker game or rainy day reading fest. And when the day is finally done, it becomes a double-wide
    berth.
Once out on the water, the Larson 330 Cabrio handled well despite the rollers Lake Ontario threw at us on a rather gusty day – conditions which very well may have sacrificed some speed once we were cruising. The 330
turned sharply without slipping, carved nicely and the nose stayed nice and low during the five seconds it took to plane from idle.
With luxurious comfort at every turn, both inside and out, you’ll enjoy cruising in the Larson 330 Cabrio whether or not the sun is shining.
