With its sleek lines and stylish design, the Cruisers Yachts 520 Sports Coupe will not only turn heads, but it will stop people dead in their tracks.
From the large high-lo table to the swivelling aft seat to the disappearing optional 26-inch LCDTV with DVD to the standard grill, the 520s aft cockpit is built for every day living and entertaining. Aft, the swim platform has access to the cockpit on both port and starboard, and a transom fold-down rumble seat.
Follow the teak flooring forward to the enclosed cockpit area, which offers great visibility. A walkthrough windshield allows easy access to the foredeck, or you can opt to use the 15-inch side boarding steps to both port and starboard.
Whether you take advantage of the power-actuated sunroof with manual sky shade or the standard air-conditioning, the cockpit also offers guests the option of escaping from the hot sun without completely missing the party.
Down in the salon, Cruisers has doubled the number of vertical portholes to increase the amount of natural light and ventilation, and the cherry wood finish throughout adds a touch of elegance.The stylish portside galley has all the amenities one would need, with the option to add a dishwasher, wine captain and trash compactor.
The master suite on the 520 SC boasts a queen-sized island berth, elegant settee and private head with separate shower stall. In the forward stateroom, which has a spacious six feet of clearance, you can opt for either a queen island or twin berth. Overnight guests will also appreciate private access to the forward head.
Available with twin V-drives, the test boat was powered with triple Volvo Penta IPS 600s, which made manoeuvring the slipways a snap. On the water, performance was just as impressive as the 520 SC handled like it was 22 feet.
The turning radius was tight and the handling was responsive. Engineered to European sea standards, the hull of the 520 was quiet and didnt slam or shake, even in the two footers on Lake Ontario.
