In striving to provide the ultimate boating experience, Caravelle Powerboats may have just earned the title of ultimate cottage boat with its 267 Bowrider.
Upon first stepping foot inside the 267, I am at once struck by the sheer size of this bowrider. The large U-shaped seating in the cockpit will easily accommodate a small crowd, and the removable table, refreshment centre with sink, and port and starboard coolers tucked under the sunpad will ensure all the fixings are close at hand. A filler cushion on the huge sunpad lifts to reveal a centre walk-through connecting the cockpit with the extra large mouldedin swim platform.
Just forward of the cockpit, the ergonomic SofTech bucket helm seat with bolster is not only extremely comfortable, but offers great visibility through the curved wraparound windshield. An enclosed head is tucked in the portside console and a full door at the walk-through offers added protection from the wind. The oversized bow on the Caravelle 267 offers lots of additional space for seating and storage. Pop in the filler cushion and you have another spot for you and your guests to lounge in the sun.
When the 267 is not busy entertaining your friends in comfort and style, it will be busy impressing them with how it performs on the water. Our test boat handled responsively, holding nice and tight during turns without any bounce. The 267 remained planted in the water, slicing confidently through the wakes of the myriad of boats enjoying a beautiful summers day in Muskoka.
With three on-board, the 267 reached 20 mph from idle in five seconds with minimal bow rise during take off. The solid performance turned in by the 267 Bowrider is no doubt due in large part to Caravelles XPV hull design X for extended running surface, P for pad bottom, and V for deep-V.
The XPV hull also helps keep the boat on plane at lower speeds, making the 267 great for watersports. And with 100 per cent wood-free construction, Caravelle backs the 267 with a limited lifetime hull warranty, so you can be sure this boat is as durable and strong as it is stylish and fun.
Riding in the Caravelle 267 Bowrider, I cant help but think of the adage go big or go home this bowrider is so big (on everything) youll never have to go home!
