If youre looking for a family boat to provide both form and function, then look no further than the Legend 16 Xcalibur. What the boat lacks in size, it makes up for in practicality. The perfect boat for a young family or a serious angling couple, the 16 Xcalibur has smart features from bow to stern.
Forward, the large, cushioned sunpad is a great place for the kids to relax or play in the sun. And when its time to fish, simply remove the padding to reveal a large casting platform, with a large infloor live well and built-in bait well. For those long fishing trips, one of the pedestal seats can be placed on the bow, which is also trolling motor ready.
The helm on the 16 Xcalibur is well laid out and the wraparound windshield protects the moulded gauges from the elements and makes conversation easy even at top speeds.
In the carpeted cockpit area you will find a second casting platform with more storage. For those day trips with the family, the platform folds up, revealing comfortable seating for two complete with cup holders.
Now dont let the size of the 16 Xcalibur fool you. The super thick two-piece aluminum hull construction provides a secure feeling in the waves, while the deep-V hull carves the water effortlessly. With the 60-hp Mercury Big Foot four-stroke EFI powering our test boat, we cruised at a quiet 22 mph at 4500 rpm. Putting the throttles down, the test boat topped out at a steady 31 mph at 6000 rpm with two on-board.
The perfect size for trailering, the Legend 16 Xcalibur puts no lake out of reach for that weekend trip with the guys or getting the kids out in the sun. Combine that with the fuel efficient Mercury four-stroke and this package is as easy on you wallet as it is on your transmission.
