Sure, any three-seater personal watercraft can tow, but if you want to do it right - with style - opt for the machine dedicated to the sport, like the 2004 GTX Wakeboard Edition.
Before its long list of specialized equipment is laid out for your viewing pleasure, you first need to know that this craft looks damn cool. No kidding; just look at that super sporty stepped seat, those Aztec-style graphics and the classic red, black and silver colour scheme that will look as amazing five years from now as it does today.
Now, here's the good stuff: there's a retractable tow pylon that allows for a high, secure attachment of the tow rope. Check out the removable wakeboard racks expertly designed to protect both the board and riders' shins.The Wakeboard Edition also has new convex mirrors that increase the operator's field of view by 32 percent.The machine is equipped with a special removable storage tray as well, to provide portable access to front storage items.
To ensure a smooth transition out of the hole, the GTX is equipped with a four-stroke, three-cylinder Rotax SOHC motor with 155 hp for increased torque at low rpm and optimum power through the full rpm range.The boat will stay hooked up, even with a boarder on tow, thanks to the modified-V hull design and integrated sponsons.
When it's time to trade positions, a grooved, fold-down reboarding step helps with remounting, and the substantial 48-inch beam ensures that the Sea-Doo remains stable. Speaking of substantial, this craft has 199 litres of storage capacity and a 60-litre fuel capacity so you can pack what you need for a full day of wakeboarding fun, and you have enough juice in the tank to last until sunset.
